There are many different reasons why the game industry is doing so well of late, and a lot of it comes down to hidden costs. For example today, you do not just buy a console and a game. To play online you need an online membership and these cost an extra £40 a year. That sum looks a lot larger when you consider it over a 5 year period (£200).
Gaming has hidden costs, and accessories with games consoles are limited. You will get a controller, probably not even the batteries. That means you may want to buy a lead, perhaps a wireless router, then maybe a headphone to speak with players online or a keyboard that attaches to the controller.
Remember as soon as you are not using you online membership or are quite tired of online gaming cancel it and get your money back, otherwise money can continue to come out for services you are not using.
