Why are the costs of computer / console games increasing?
The cost of some of the games for the latest consoles are spiralling and making them unaffordable to many. The New Xbox or PS5 will set you back in excess of £500. This is a huge amount of money to fork out to start with but if you then think that each new release that you buy could cost you between £50 and £100 pounds each, you may son find that you simply cannot afford to get the games you want. New games for the PlayStation used to retail at about fifty pounds each but the PS5 games often seem to be in excess of seventy pounds each. This is a huge amount of money and means that most f the time the parents are expected to buy the game as not many children get that much pocket money.
If you can wait a while, you can save a large chunk of money by buying second hand games either from shops, online or from social media market places. Some places even allow you to rent the games which can be really worth while if you are someone that often completes games very quickly. IF you do decide to buy then try and sell them as soon as possible after you have completed them to try and recoup some of your money.
