Nintendo have confirmed that they’re releasing a Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition version of the puzzle game for the Nintendo 3DS on May 22nd.
Gaming site IGN have this to say about the upcoming release;
Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition resembles a “classic” Super Mario Bros. game, albeit one with a “puzzling twist”. The second title, Puzzle and Dragons Z, was a hit in Japan, shifting more than 1.5 million units in the first six months. Both employ the drag-and-match premise to solve puzzles, level up and clear stages, although Nintendo believes that “much deeper game play” lies beyond the puzzles. (IGN)
We like the fact that the game is being retro-fitted for the Super Mario Bros. edition, giving it a nostalgic feeling. Of course we don’t expect it to be too in-depth, just a casual puzzle game to play during those early morning commutes.
